Our Guiding Principles
- Life is all in God's hands. Make sure you are, too (John 10:29)
- Everything God is, Christ is (Colossians 2:9)
- No salvation is possible outside of obedience to Christ (Hebrews 5:7-9)
- Don't go beyond what is written in scripture (1 Corinthians 4:6)
- One Lord, one faith, one baptism (Ephesians 4:5)
- Obedience is a key word in our relationship with God (John 14:15)
- We are Christians, nothing more, nothing less (Acts 11:26)
- Truth exists, we can all know it, we must know it (John 8:32)
Christian Worship
Worship is when the Christian family get together to sing, pray and partake of the Lord's Super remembering the death of Jesus on the cross and his resurrection. We worship in a way that is pleasing to God and according to teaching of the Bible. You are more than welcome to join us, but if you are apprehensive, continue reading as we explain our worship service in more detail or please contact us via our contact page.
Singing
We sing a few songs during worship and without musical instruments. The words of the song are most important since it's an expression of our faith and feeling toward God in what we sing not the way we sing. You can sing along if you wish or just listen.
Prayer
There are usually two main prayers during worship, one at the beginning and then one at the end. The prayer is said out loud by one person and when it's finished you can say "amen" if you like, but you don't have to, it just means "so be it".
Lord's Supper
This is the most important part of the worship and is the main reason why Christians come together. We remember the death of Jesus on the cross and his resurrection. We do this every Sunday as we have example in the Bible. After some words are said and a prayer, we take some bread. After a prayer we will then drink some grape juice. This represents the body and blood of Jesus. We acknowledge him as our Lord and Saviour and we examine ourselves to partake in a worthy manner.
Giving
This gives us an opportunity to realize how God has blessed us and we can give some money back as we have been blessed. This will cover the cost of the building and other finances, but most importantly it is used to spread the Gospel and share the Bible with others. Due to COVID protocol suggestions there is a box placed at the door when you walk in. We also have E-transfer set up if you prefer. You will not be asked to give, but you are welcome to.
